about Our team
Michelle initially gained a degree in Psychology which sparked a huge interest for her in neuropsychology, neurorehabilitation, and assistive technology. Through voluntary work in the National Rehabilitation hospital Dun Laoghaire Dublin Ireland, Michelle was introduced to Occupational Therapy. Michelle qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2011 from Queen Margaret University Scotland and worked in the Fife community and NHS Lothian. She worked primarily in Medicine of Elderly and Acute Stroke prior to moving to Tasmania in 2016. Since coming to Tasmania, Michelle has navigated the Australian health care system (public and private) and integrated into NDIS.
Michelle also works as a member of the Hospital Aged Liaison Team in the emergency department at the Launceston General Hospital three days a week.
Outside work she is a mother to three very active young children and her fur baby.
Sarah initially studied a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Tasmania, majoring in Sociology and German. She then went on to complete her Occupational Therapy degree at the University of Queensland in 2004. Sarah has worked predominantly in the community throughout her career, with a good mixture of over 65’s as well as younger disabled people, both in Queensland and in Tasmania. She has also dabbled in work rehabilitation and in an Acute Care setting at the Launceston General Hospital.
Sarah has been working with NDIS participants for close to 12 months and thoroughly enjoys the challenge. She also works part time with the Specialist Palliative Care Service within the Tasmanian Health Service.
Outside of work, Sarah is a mother of two girls and enjoys spending time at the beach with her family.
